That the objectives of the Trust ‘Uttarakhand Tourism Professionals’ Association’ shall be wholly for the public and charitable purpose and its income shall be wholly for the public and charitable purpose without prejudice to the provisions aforesaid, and the following shall be deemed to be the principal objectives:

  1. To establish a network and develop cooperation among people with origin in Uttarakhand working in tourism sector in different parts of the country with an aim of creating new job opportunities for them.
  2. To create awareness and conduct training and research in the field of tourism in areas such as new destinations, and eco-tourism villages, homes stays etc. with aim to promote tourism in Uttarakhand based on its values and culture.
  3. To conduct, encourage and promote studies and research in the field of Yoga, Meditation, Nature care etc.
  4. Hold seminars, workshops, and to establish educational & vocational training institutions, in urban, rural and backward areas, and to provide professional assistance with regard to promotion of tourism.
  5. To promote and revive the traditional arts and crafts of Uttarakhand, and create new opportunities for various art forms such as literature, Folk dances, Music and other performing arts.
  6. To provide all types of assistance and opportunities to children and young artistes from Uttarakhand.
  7. To grant scholarships and provide financial aid to poor and meritorious students in the field of the profession of tourism.
  8. To print, publish or/and distribute magazines, newsletters or any other literature in print or digital media for the promotion of the above objects.
  9. To give or award prizes for excellence in the field of Tourism sector in Uttarakhand.\
  10. To initiative talks with local and central government as well as private bodies for the promotion of tourism in Uttarakhand.
  11. To study the impact of tourism on Society & Culture, and tourism as a measure for poverty eradication and generation of employment in Uttarakhand state.
  12. To explore ideas of Green (Eco) tourism, through Carbon foot printing & being socially responsible.
  13. To use the audio-visual media for furtherance of its aims and objects.
  14. To work for empowerment and capacity building of women and girls through Skill training, Seminar, workshops and any other mode useful for upliftment of women in society. To organize adult educational programs for illiterate women from marginalized sections.
  15. . To coordinate with the government in providing health & nutrition services for women, children and elderly people.
  16. To create awareness among the people with the help of communities, panchayats, schools and colleges regarding HIV/AIDS, TB, etc. and help HIV/AIDS patients with necessary support and enable them to get restored in their family
  17. To set up a psychological and career counselling centre for adolescents, their parents and teachers and to organize workshops and conduct outreach programs in schools, colleges and within the community with the support of various stakeholders.
  18. To promote research on social problems to assist the government formulate tourism policy and develop new strategies for development.
  19. To provide entrepreneurship and skill development training in the field of tourism to socially and economically weaker sections of population for self-employment.
  20. To bring synchronization between tourism and other sectors/industries for the generation of employment and revenue.
  21. To market Uttarakhand tourism to Indian and foreign tour operators, and make them aware of the scope and opportunities for tourism in Uttarakhand through print media, news channels, blogging, internet website, e-mailers, etc.
  22. To maintain high professional and ethical standards in the tourism industry of the state through active participation of people engaged in the field of tourism.
  23. To organize seminars, meetings, press conferences and other events for the promotion of tourism in the state.
  24. To support the local communities and tourism entrepreneurs with training and awareness programmes to increase local livelihood opportunities, and protect local environment and cultural heritage.
  25. To promote tourism in Uttarakhand through spreading awareness about the importance of cleanliness of sightseeing places such as lakes, rivers & temples, trek routes, camping sites etc.
  26. To help entrepreneurs in developing new tourism products like sports tourism, village walks & stay, community based tourism, eco tourism etc.
  27. To extend support in improving accommodation facilities for tourists in Uttarakhand by giving professional inputs to hotels, motels, lodges, guesthouses, home stays as well government run GMVN & KMVN rest houses.
  28. To work closely with other associations and agencies working in the field of tour operation, Hotels, transport, adventure activities, river rafting, trekking operation etc. at state, national and international level to improve tourism in Uttarakhand.
  29. To do plantation of trees as a measure to control global warming and land erosion.
  30. To establish libraries and other educational institutions for promotion of education in tourism.
  31. To establish, support, maintain or aid other institutions and facilities for the benefit of tourism in Uttarakhand.
  32. To carry out activities related to water conservation, treatment of water and promoting technologies for purifying water so as to make drinking water available to the masses and reduce water pollution in water bodies.
  33. To open branches of the organization in the state and other parts of the country for the promotion of its aims and objectives.
  34. . To undertake and run welfare and development projects for women, children, rural youths, poor peasants, disables, tribal people and other marginalized and deprived social groups in the field of education, health, environment, income generation activities for weaker sections, promotion of science and technology, rural development, promotion of Indian art &culture, tribal welfare, application of non-conventional energy resources, consumer awareness, road safety, drug abuse prevention, integrated development, income generation activities through self-help groups.
  35. To provide counseling and rehabilitation facilities to victims of alcoholism and drug abuse, and provide mental health-care to improve the quality of life
  36. To promote Indian system of medicines such as Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Homoepathy, Yoga & Naturopathy, through conducting training and holding health melas, health camps, mobiles dispensaries, growing and distributing of medicinal plants and encouraging people to cultivate these medicinal plants in their kitchen gardens.
  37. To organize relief camps and rehabilitate people effected due to Natural calamities like droughts, flood, earthquake, landslides, thunderstorm, fire and epidemic etc. To create disaster preparedness and conduct higher research in the field of disaster management.
  38. To protect environment through training, research and creating awareness through seminars, workshops, awareness campaigns and eco-clubs, and use of environmentally sound and appropriate technologies, Biodegradation of wastes, renewable energy, biodiversity, occupational health, desertification, wildlife protection etc. and promote sustainable development through waste land development, water shed management, environment awareness at grass-root- level, develop nurseries, kitchen gardens etc. To promote social forestry and to take measure to prevent pollution of water soil, air etc.
  39. To give awards and medals to accord recognition for outstanding contribution made by individuals and institutions towards national reconstruction, social service and intellectual work bringing glory and contributing to the development of the country. To help and assist deserving social organizations and other such trusts which are engaged in social welfare. To institute scholarships, stipends, medals, prizes and monetary assistance etc. to help and encourage meritorious students, scholars, teachers and artists for pursuing their learning and profession.
  40. To impart training in handicraft/textiles, and make arrangements for marketing and promotion of Handloom, Handicrafts and Khadi. To organize exhibitions and fair for the sale of various handlooms and handicraft items.
  41. To work for Non-conventional energy programme by involving National level and grass root level NGO’s and also to promote renewable energy sources technologies/activities and programme for sustainable development at grass roots level such as bio-gas, solar cocking, solar, thermal, wind energy, Gobar gas, solar driers, solar lantern etc.
  42. To help, maintain and run welfare institutions for down trodden, destitute, street children, beggars and women in distress such as short stay homes, hostels, clinics, vocational training centers, orphanages, adoption homes, old age homes, day care centers, creches, counseling centers, schools, community halls, night shelters, libraries, museums, laboratories, workshops, shelter homes etc. to provide them relief and raise their socio-economic standards.
  43. To work for integrated development in rural, urban and tribal areas by construction of Inter village Roads, Community halls, hospitals, Schools, Colleges, Polytechnic, Training Centres, libraries and other institutions. To provide low cost houses, pure drinking water, toilets, ponds, tube wells, water storage, land and water shedding etc. and run similar welfare schemes to uplift oppressed communities.
  44. To run various welfare schemes in the field of education such as basic education, Non-formal education, Pre-school education, bridge courses, adult education, vocational training, distant education, higher education etc. to provide quality and affordable education/skills to uneducated /unskilled people belonging to weaker sections.
  45. To prints publish sell, distribute journals, periodicals, books, leaflets or any other media on social issues or for promotion of any particular object of the society/state/national or to establish relation between different organization/ associations at regional and national level or upliftment of medicine, Art, Science and Agriculture for the purpose of students and general public.
  46. To promote, protect and preserve the rich cultural heritage of India with special focus on Himalayan culture through holding cultural programmes in the field of literary, visual and performing arts, conducting research, preserving rare manuscripts and artifacts, developing museums etc. and producing books, films and audio-visuals etc.
  47. To provide industrial education, research and training for all segments at all levels, viz. craftsmen, technicians, professionals and post graduate levels through training before and after education and during vacations in various skills, arts and crafts as well as various trades and branches of Engineering, Technology, Industry, Commerce and Applied Arts, Bio-Technology, Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Forestry, Textile. Industrial Design, Home Science, Dietetics and Nutrition, Tourism, Information & Technology etc.
  48. To provide training and set up food processing centres for various fruits, vegetables, and establish industries of such types in the suitable places of rural areas.
  49. To conduct research and provide training in the field of cultivation of herbs, Aromatic & Medicinal Plants, Seed & Nursery, Biotechnology, Tissue Culture, Bio-pesticides and Organic Foods, Promote Bee-keeping, water conservation, irrigation, wasteland development, fisheries, poultry, veterinary services, dairy farming, aviary and aqua-cultural to introduce new technologies to farmers, develop publicity material, to establish nutritional gardens in rural areas and distribute fruits plants and vegetable seeds, and conduct techno-economic feasibility studies. To establish experimental farms and research stations to conduct experiments, tests and research for developing better qualities of food grains and cattle, improving other agricultural crops, produce, seeds, fodder crops and cattle feeds of all kinds.
  50. To organize, sponsor, co-ordinate and conduct national, regional and international meetings, seminars, symposium, workshops, discussions, debates, demonstrations exhibitions, street plays, cultural events, promotional activities/programmes, film shows to give programmes through video, television and other media.
  51. To co-ordinate and network with individuals, voluntary organizations, government agencies, banks and other instructions engaged in development activities with a view to assist grassroots organizations and individuals in executing and implementing various schemes.
  52. To produce, sponsor and hold shows of documentaries, feature films, serials, talk shows, audio-visuals, performance of street plays, dramas, operas, radio and television entertainment/awareness programmes and other cultural programmes and event.
  53. To encourage children and youths to participate in sports and adventure activities by holding training camps, exhibitions, educational tours and training programmes for summer vacations. Create social awareness among youth so as to make them better and more responsible citizens and inculcate in them a feeling of communal harmony, mutual brotherhood and national integration.
  54. To carry out welfare measures for people handicapped during service or war. To run various welfare programmes for the rehabilitation of their family members and dependants.
  55. To make agreement or arrangement with Government, semi-Government, Non-government Bodies/Societies/International agencies, Organizations or Groups of individuals to obtain financial aid in whatever manner for fulfillment of aims and objectives of the trust.
  56. To utilize fund towards capital and recurring expenditure of the trust, making suitable investments or dealing with the fund in any other lawful manner the trust may deem necessary.
  57. To draw, make, accept, endorse, execute, discount, sign, issue or deal in other appropriate manners with drafts, cheques, certificates, receipts, government securities, promissory notes, bills of exchange of other instruments and securities whether negotiable or transferable or not.
  58. To create administrative, ministerial, technical and other posts or cadres for running the trust and to appoint suitable persons to those posts or cadres in accordance with the rules framed in this behalf by the trust.
  59. To create and maintain a fund(s) with subscriptions, contributions or donations received from Governmental agencies as well as private organizations and with money raised by the trust in any other lawful manner.
  60. To borrow or raising or securing the payment of money by issue of bonds, securities or in such other manner as the trust may deem necessary.
  61. To do all such acts, activities and programmes, which are necessary for the fulfillment of the objectives of ‘Uttarakhand Tourism Professionals’ Association’ and are incidental to the aim and main objectives of the trust.
  62. All the income, earnings, movable, immovable properties of the ‘Uttarakhand Tourism Professionals’ Association’ shall be solely utilized and applied towards the promotion of its aims and objects only as set forth in the trust deed and no profit on therefore shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus, profits therefore in any manner whatsoever to the present or past trustee of the ‘Uttarakhand Tourism Professionals’ Association’ or to any person claiming through any one or more of the present or past members. No trustee of the ‘Uttarakhand Tourism Professionals’Association’ shall have any personal claim on any movable or immovable properties of the ‘Uttarakhand Tourism Professionals’ Association’ or make any profit, whatsoever, by virtue of his membership.
